9.17 Managing Media Files (Property Photos, Videos, Logos)

Purpose:

The Media Library provides a central repository within Close Master for uploading, organizing, and managing all your digital assets like property photos, listing videos, agent headshots, agency logos, marketing PDFs, and audio files. Using the central library saves you from uploading the same file multiple times across different features.

Accessing:

Click the Media icon (often looks like a picture frame or folder) in the main left-hand navigation menu, OR access it via the upload/selection options within builders (Website/Funnel, Email, Blog, Social Planner).

Functionality:

  • Upload Files: Use the Upload File button or drag and drop files directly from your computer into the library window. Supports various file types (images: JPG, PNG, GIF; videos: MP4, MOV; documents: PDF; audio: MP3, WAV). Be mindful of potential file size limits.
  • Create Folders: Crucial for organization! Click + Create Folder. Create folders for different purposes (e.g., "Property Photos - Listings," "Agent Headshots," "Logos & Branding," "Marketing PDFs," "Training Videos"). Drag files into folders to keep things tidy.
  • View & Manage Files:
    • See thumbnails or list view of your uploaded files.
    • Sort files by Name, Size, Date Uploaded.
    • Search for files by name.
    • Preview files (images, videos, PDFs).
    • Get Link: Select a file → Click Get Link or a similar option. This provides a public, shareable URL for that specific file hosted by Close Master. Useful for linking directly to PDFs, sharing images externally, or using as a source URL in some builder elements (though selecting directly from the library is usually preferred within builders).
    • Rename files for clarity.
    • Move files between folders.
    • Delete files you no longer need to free up storage space.
  • Usage within Builders: When you use an Image, Video, File Download, or similar element in the Website/Funnel, Email, or Blog builders, you'll typically have the option to Select from Media Library instead of uploading directly. This opens the library interface, allowing you to choose your previously uploaded and organized assets easily.
  • Optimization: For faster website load times, optimize your images (compress file size without losing too much quality) before uploading them to the Media Library. Similarly, keep video file sizes reasonable.
