9.15 Using & Configuring the Website Chat Widget

Purpose:

Add an interactive chat bubble to your website (Close Master hosted or external) to engage visitors in real-time or capture leads when you're offline.

Configuration Summary:

  1. Navigate to SitesChat Widget.
  2. Create (+ Create New) or Edit an existing widget.
  3. Choose Widget Type: SMS/Email Chat (Lead Capture - Recommended 24/7), Live Chat (Requires staffing), WhatsApp Chat (Requires integration), All-in-One Chat.
  4. Customize Appearance: Set Intro Message, upload Logo/Image, choose Widget Color.
  5. Configure Type Settings: Customize form fields (for Lead Capture), set Live Chat hours/offline message, select WhatsApp number, etc.
  6. Set Acknowledgement message shown after submission/initiation.
  7. Save Widget.

Installation/Activation Summary:

  • Get Code: Click Get Code. Copy the JavaScript snippet.
  • External Site: Paste the code snippet into your website's HTML, usually just before the closing </body> tag site-wide.
  • Close Master Site/Funnel: Navigate to the project's (Funnel or Website) main Settings tab. Toggle Chat Widget ON and select your configured widget from the dropdown. Save project settings.
