7.6 Number Intelligence Features (Optional LC Phone Bundle)

These are optional add-on features for LC Phone that provide extra insights but typically incur small additional per-lookup costs (check Wallet rates). Enable them via Settings → Phone Numbers → Advanced → Number Intelligence.

• Number Validation (Highly Recommended):
  • Purpose: Automatically checks the type of a phone number (e.g., Mobile, Landline, VoIP) before you attempt to send an SMS.
  • Benefit: Significantly reduces failed SMS sends (and associated costs/error rates) caused by trying to text landlines.
  • Enable: Recommended to toggle ON globally via Settings → Business Profile → General Settings → Validate Phone numbers....
• Spam Detection: Attempts to identify and flag incoming calls that are likely spam based on known databases. May display a "Potential Spam" warning on incoming call notifications.
• Name Lookup (CNAM - Inbound): Attempts to look up and display the Caller ID Name associated with an unknown incoming US phone number. Helps identify callers before answering. (Distinct from CNAM Registration for outbound calls).
