5.9 Opportunity FAQs (Real Estate Context)

  • How do I export my Opportunities?
    • Navigate to the Opportunities section. Look for a ... (more actions) menu or an Export button, often near the top right. Select Export Opportunities. You might be able to filter first or export all. The data will download as a CSV file.
  • How do I find the unique ID for a specific Opportunity?
    • Click the Opportunity card to open its details panel or the linked contact record view where opportunity details are shown. Look for an Opportunity ID field, often displayed near the bottom or top of the details section. Alternatively, the ID might be visible in the browser's URL bar when viewing the opportunity details. It's also included as a column in Opportunity exports.
  • How can I see a history of activity for a specific Opportunity?
    • Click the Opportunity card to open its details. Look for an Activity or History tab within the Opportunity details view itself (if available). Alternatively, go to the main linked Contact record and check their Activity feed (Chapter 4.4), filtering by events related to Opportunities if possible. For a complete technical log, an Admin can check the main Audit Logs (SettingsAudit Logs), filtering by the Opportunity ID or Contact ID.
  • How do I add and see custom information like Property Address or Closing Date on the Opportunity card?
    1. Create Opportunity Custom Fields: An administrator needs to go to SettingsCustom Fields+ Add Field → Select Object: Opportunity. Create fields like "Property Address" (Type: Text or Address), "Closing Date" (Type: Date), "Listing Price" (Type: Monetary). (See 22.9).
    2. Enter Data: When creating or editing an Opportunity, fill in the values for these newly created custom fields.
    3. Customize Card Display: Go to the Opportunities board view → click Manage Fields / Card Settings → Check the boxes next to your Opportunity Custom Fields (Property Address, Closing Date, etc.) to make them visible on the card face. (See 5.5).
  • How do I edit the Lost Reasons available when marking an Opportunity as Lost?
    • The Lost Reason field is typically a standard dropdown field. An administrator can go to SettingsCustom Fields, find the field named "Lost Reason" (Object Type: Opportunity), click Edit, and then modify the available dropdown Options (add, rename, delete, reorder reasons) to better reflect common scenarios in your agency (e.g., "Lost to Competitor," "Decided Not to Sell," "Financing Fell Through," "Buyer Found Elsewhere").
