3.11 Bulk Action History & Restoring Deleted Contacts

Purpose:

Track the status of large-scale operations and recover accidentally deleted contacts.

  • Bulk Actions Tab:
    • Access: Go to ContactsBulk Actions tab.
    • Monitor Jobs: See the status (Processing, Completed, Completed with Errors) of ongoing or recently completed bulk operations like Imports, Bulk SMS/Email, Bulk Tagging/Removal, Bulk Workflow Add, Bulk Deletes.
    • View History: Review past jobs, including who initiated them, when, and the success/failure statistics.
    • Download Error Logs: Crucial for imports or sends with failures. Click the download link in the Stats column for failed jobs to get a CSV file detailing which records failed and why.
    • Restore/Revert (Time-Sensitive): For some actions like bulk contact deletion or bulk tag removal, a Restore or Revert option might appear under the ... (Actions) menu for that specific job entry for a limited time (e.g., 24-72 hours). Use this immediately if you realize a mistake was made in a bulk operation.
  • Restore Tab:
    • Access: Go to ContactsRestore tab.
    • View Deleted Contacts: See a list of individual Contact records that have been deleted recently (data is typically retained for a specific period, often around 30-60 days, but confirm your platform's policy).
    • Search/Sort: Use search or sort options to find the specific contact(s) you need to recover.
    • Restore Action: Select the checkbox(es) next to the contact(s) you want to restore. Click the Restore button. This action will recover the contact record along with its associated history, notes, tasks, opportunity links, etc., making it active in your CRM again.
