24.7 Adding an Additional Domain

Purpose:

Point a different custom domain name or subdomain (that you own and have registered) to your WordPress site hosted within Close Master. This might be used for parked domains, rebranding transitions, or specific campaign landing pages if using WordPress multisite (less common).

Setup:

  1. Navigate to SitesWordPress → Select your Site.
  2. Look for a Domains tab or section within the site's management dashboard.
  3. Click Add Domain.
  4. Enter the full domain name or subdomain you want to add (e.g., www.myotheragencydomain.com, promo.myagency.com).
  5. The system will provide the necessary A or CNAME record information that you need to add at the domain registrar where *that specific additional domain* is registered.
  6. Add the provided DNS record exactly as specified at the registrar for the additional domain.
  7. Wait for propagation, then verify the connection within the Close Master interface.
  8. You may need to configure WordPress itself (via /wp-admin Settings or potentially wp-config.php) to recognize and respond to requests for the additional domain, depending on your setup goals. You can also set one domain as the Primary domain, which others might redirect to.
