22.6 Email Services (LC Email + Dedicated Domain Setup)

Purpose:

Configure how emails are sent from your Close Master account. Setting up a Dedicated Sending Domain is vital for email deliverability and reaching the inbox.

Access:

Navigate to Settings → Email Services.

Key Configuration Steps:

  1. Select Provider: Ensure LC Email (or LeadConnector) is selected as the provider (Recommended).
  2. Navigate to Dedicated Domain & IP Tab (DO THIS!):
    • + Add Domain: Click to start the setup.
    • Enter Subdomain: Input a subdomain like mail.youragencydomain.com (replace youragencydomain.com with your actual domain).
    • Get DNS Records: The system will provide 5 specific DNS records (SPF, DKIM, MX x2, CNAME).
    • Add Records at Registrar: Log in to your domain registrar (GoDaddy, etc.) and add these 5 records EXACTLY as provided. Ensure Host/Name and Value/Points To match perfectly. Disable proxy (DNS Only) if using Cloudflare. (See 6.4 for more detail).
    • Verify: Return to this tab in Close Master and click Verify Domain. Wait for propagation and ensure all records show green "Verified" status. Troubleshoot any failures.
    • (Add DMARC Separately): Also add a basic DMARC TXT record for your main domain (_dmarc, v=DMARC1; p=none;) at your registrar.
  3. Configure Reply & Forward Settings: Set up Forwarding, BCC, etc., as needed (See 6.2). Leave Reply Address blank unless you have a specific reason *not* to use the Conversations inbox for replies.
  4. (Optional) SMTP Settings: Access SMTP credentials for your dedicated domain if needed for external tools (advanced).

Proper domain authentication via Dedicated Sending Domain is mandatory for reliable email delivery.
