22.3 Pipelines Setup (Listing/Buyer Stages)

Purpose:

Define the structure (the columns or Stages) for the visual Opportunity Pipelines used in the main Opportunities section to track your deals (See Chapter 5).

Access:

Navigate to SettingsPipelines.

Actions:

  • View Existing Pipelines: See a list of pipelines already created (potentially from a Starter Kit/Snapshot).
  • + Create New Pipeline: Build a new pipeline from scratch (e.g., "Commercial Lease Pipeline").
  • Edit Existing Pipeline (Pencil Icon ✏️): Click the pencil icon next to a pipeline name to modify it.
    • Add Stage: Add new steps/columns to the process.
    • Rename Stage: Change the name of existing stages.
    • Delete Stage: Remove stages (use caution if deals exist there).
    • Reorder Stages: Drag and drop stages in the list to change their left-to-right order on the board.
    • Edit Stage Settings (Pencil Icon ✏️ next to Stage Name): Configure options per stage:
      • Visible in Funnel/Pie Chart? (Turn OFF for Won/Lost/Abandoned stages to keep dashboard pipeline value accurate).
      • Card Rotting Threshold (Days).
      • Allow duplicate opportunities? (Stage-specific override).
      • Allow moving to previous stage?
  • Save Pipeline: Remember to save changes made to the pipeline structure or stage settings.
  • Customize Snapshot Pipelines: Thoroughly review and edit any pre-built pipelines from a Starter Kit to ensure the stages perfectly match your agency's specific listing and buyer processes. Don't just use the defaults.
