22.10 Custom Values (Brokerage Phone, Booking Links, etc.)

Purpose:

Create global shortcuts or placeholders ({{custom_values.key_name}}) for standard pieces of information that you use repeatedly throughout Close Master (emails, SMS, websites, workflows). This promotes consistency and makes updates incredibly efficient.

Access:

Navigate to SettingsCustom Values.

Creating Custom Values:

  1. Click + Add Custom Value.
  2. Enter Key Name: This is the name you'll use in the merge tag placeholder. Use lowercase letters and underscores, keep it short and descriptive (e.g., brokerage_phone, main_showing_link, agency_address, agent_license_jane_doe, email_disclaimer).
  3. Enter Value: This is the actual information the placeholder will represent (e.g., +1-555-123-4567, https://book.youragency.com/showings, 123 Main St, Anytown, CA 91234, #1234567, *Standard agency disclaimer text...*).
  4. Click Save.
  5. (Optional) Organize into Folders: Use + Add Folder to group related custom values (e.g., "Brokerage Info," "Agent Links," "Disclaimers").

Using Custom Values:

  • Whenever you are editing text in an Email template/campaign, SMS message (workflow or manual), Website/Funnel page text element, or Workflow action field:
    • Look for the merge tag icon ({ }, tag icon, or similar) and select Custom Values → Choose the desired value by its Key Name.
    • OR, manually type the placeholder exactly: {{custom_values.your_key_name}}.
  • Benefit: If your brokerage phone number changes, you only need to edit the Value of the brokerage_phone custom value once in SettingsCustom Values. The correct number will then automatically appear everywhere you used the {{custom_values.brokerage_phone}} placeholder.

Use custom values for any standard piece of text or link used frequently across the platform.
