11.4 Creating Assessments/Quizzes (For Agent Training)

Purpose:

Test understanding and reinforce learning for your agents within your Memberships training courses. Close Master offers two types of assessments.

Accessing the Assessment Builder:

Assessments are created within a Product (course).

  1. Navigate to MembershipsProducts.
  2. Edit the specific Product (course) where you want to add the assessment.
  3. In the Product Structure outline (left panel), decide which Category the assessment belongs in.
  4. Click the + button within that Category and select Add Assessment.
  5. Enter Basic Details:
    • Assessment Title: Give it a clear name (e.g., "Module 1 Quiz: Agency Policies", "Assignment: Draft a Sample Offer").
    • Choose Assessment Type:
      • Quiz: Automatically graded multiple-choice or single-choice questions.
      • Assignment: Requires manual review and grading by an administrator/instructor (e.g., submitting a written document, video recording).
  6. Click Save. The assessment placeholder appears in the outline.

Editing a Quiz:

  1. Click the pencil icon next to the Quiz name in the outline. The quiz builder opens.
  2. Configure Quiz Settings:
    • Set optional Passing Grade (%).
    • Upload a Thumbnail image.
    • Write custom Passed Message and Failed Message displayed upon completion.
  3. Add Questions: Click + Add Question. Choose question type (e.g., Single Choice, Multiple Choice).
    • Enter the Question text.
    • Enter the Answer Choices.
    • Mark the Correct Option(s) using the checkbox/radio button next to the correct answer(s).
    • (Optional) Provide an Explanation that users see after answering.
    • Save each question. Add multiple questions as needed. Reorder them by dragging.
  4. Save the entire Quiz settings.

Editing an Assignment:

  1. Click the pencil icon next to the Assignment name in the outline.
  2. Configure Assignment Settings:
    • Choose if it's Ungraded (completion only) or requires grading.
    • Add Instructions explaining the task clearly.
    • Optionally Upload Template Files (e.g., a worksheet for agents to fill out).
    • Set the Confirmation Message displayed after submission.
  3. Save the Assignment settings.

Publishing the Assessment:

  • In the main Product Structure outline, toggle the status of the Assessment item from Draft to Published when it's ready for members to take.

Viewing and Grading Results:

  • Navigate to MembershipsAnalyticsAssessments tab.
  • Filter by Product (course) and specific Assessment name.
  • You'll see a list of submissions showing the Member, Status (Passed, Failed, Submitted, Graded), Score (for quizzes), and submission Date.
  • Click on a submission to view detailed answers (for quizzes) or the submitted file/text (for assignments).
  • For Assignments: Review the submission and manually enter a Grade (if applicable) and optionally add Feedback. Click Mark as Graded.
