1.7 The Launchpad: Your Initial Connection Assistant

When you first log in, or if you access it from the left menu, the Launchpad serves as an initial checklist to guide you through connecting essential external accounts and downloading the mobile app. It's primarily for getting started quickly.

Common Items Found on the Launchpad:

  • Download Mobile App (Lead Connector): Provides direct links to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to download the recommended companion app. Action: Download and install the app on your phone (See 1.5 / Chapter 20).
  • Connect Google My Business (GMB): Guides you to connect your Google account that manages your agency's Google Business Profile. This enables review monitoring/responses and GMB messaging within Close Master. Links to: SettingsIntegrationsGoogle.
  • Connect Facebook & Instagram: Guides you to connect your Facebook profile that administers your agency's Facebook Page (which should be linked to your Instagram Business profile). This enables managing DMs, using the Social Planner, and integrating Lead Ads. Links to: SettingsIntegrationsFacebook & Instagram.
  • Connect Stripe/PayPal: Guides you to connect a payment gateway account (usually handled by The Close Agency). This is necessary if you plan to use features like collecting payments for courses, paid appointment bookings, or sending invoices with online payment options. Links to: SettingsIntegrations.
  • Set up Webchat Widget: Guides you to the configuration area for the website chat widget, allowing you to customize its appearance and behavior before embedding it on your site. Links to: SitesChat Widget.
  • Add Team Members: Guides you to the area where you can add your agents and admin staff as users to your Close Master account. Links to: SettingsMy Staff.

Once you have completed these initial setup steps, you likely won't need to refer back to the Launchpad often, managing these connections instead through the main Settings area.
